Overview
With the recent setup made to your Idomoo account, we’ve made several updates to streamline your workflow. The most notable change is the introduction of workspaces. Workspaces are a new way to organize your assets, replacing the old scene libraries and the separate storyboard page.
Here’s a quick guide to help you navigate these changes:
Workspaces
Previously, you organized your assets within scene libraries and accessed storyboards through a separate storyboards page. Now, every scene library has been transformed into a workspace. This means that all the materials (scenes, audio, media files, etc.) and any storyboards created from them are now neatly grouped within their respective workspaces. No more switching views—everything is consolidated in one place.
This new structure makes it easier to find and manage assets, whether you're working on a single project or juggling multiple ones.
The Storyboards Workspace
If you were working with scenes and assets from mixed libraries, don't worry—you’re still allowed to do that. All storyboards using materials held in several workspaces have been relocated to a dedicated 'Storyboards' workspace. This ensures that your complex projects are still easy to manage without any disruption to your existing workflow.
Dedicated Spaces for Pages and Landing Pages
In addition to workspaces, we’ve created specific areas for video pages and landing pages. These pages now have their own dedicated 'Pages' and 'Landing Pages' workspaces, so all related content is grouped together for quick access. When you create new pages, you might choose to place them in the same workspace as the storyboard.
Account Assets Workspace
Every account now comes with an 'Account Assets' workspace. This workspace acts as a central hub for materials that you might use across multiple projects, such as logos, jingles, or other reusable assets.
Suggested First Steps
- Get familiar with the Studio interface
Explore the layout and navigation options within Studio. Familiarize yourself with the Account sidebar, workspaces, and account switching features to understand how everything is organized. - Set up your workspaces
Workspaces are the core of Studio’s organization system. Create or customize workspaces based on your projects, making it easier to group relevant assets, storyboards, and media files in one place. - Organize and upload assets
Start by uploading key assets, like images, videos, or audio files, into the appropriate workspaces. You can upload individual files or an entire folder structure at once. Use sorting and filtering options to keep your assets organized and easy to locate. - Manage accounts (if applicable)
If you’re managing multiple accounts, arrange them for easy access:- Use custom icons: Go to the settings menu under the Account section and add a custom icon for easy identification.
- Reorder accounts: In the sidebar, click and hold an account, then drag it to your preferred position in the list. Changes save automatically, streamlining your navigation.
- Create and edit content
Start creating by using the plus button within a workspace to initiate a new project or edit existing content. This will open the corresponding tool, such as Storybuilder or Page Creator, in a new tab, allowing for smooth task transitions. - Access Generate, History, and Analytics apps
The upper bar in Studio provides quick access to essential tools:- Generate: Create one or more videos using various methods.
- History: Review past batches created on this account and download video files if available.
- Analytics: Access performance metrics, view counts, and other insights for a comprehensive project overview.
- Explore cross-tools workflow
Leverage Studio’s cross-tools workflow to multitask efficiently. Switch between Studio and other Idomoo apps as needed to manage different aspects of your project without losing momentum.
