Quick Numbers

Along the right side of the Overview tab are a series of visuals consisting of only a single metric as plain text. These are specifically for users who are only concerned with extracting high level calculations, and simply wish to copy & paste what they need.

From top to bottom, the metrics are:

Videos RenderedThe number of unique video files created.
Credits UsedThe number of credits used.

A credit is equal to 30 seconds of rendered video.
Total Page VisitsThe total number of landing page visits reported by Idomoo’s video player.

A landing page visit is recorded each time the player is loaded.
Unique Page VisitsThe number of unique landing page URLs visited as reported by Idomoo’s video player.

For the purposes of this calculation, landing page URLs include the full video link and all other URL parameters.
Total ViewsThe total count of browsing sessions where at least one progress event was recorded. Idomoo’s media player reports progress in increments of 10%, starting with 0% when playback begins.

A browsing session is a period of continuous interaction with a media asset or related content as reported by Idomoo’s video player. Sessions expire after five minutes of inactivity; for example, if a user is watching a video, pauses it, and switches to a new tab for 3 minutes and returns, this is still one session. If the user pauses their video and comes back the next day to continue watching, subsequent activity is grouped into a new session.
Unique ViewsThe number of unique video files with at least one progress event.

Note: The number of unique views reported in the right-hand ribbon and the number reported per day/week/month may not match. This is because unique views are calculated for the specific time range selected; that is, if I watch the same video two days in a row, that is one unique view over the two-day period, but also one unique view per day.
Unique Completion RateThe percentage of unique videos where users viewed 80% or more of the video file.

Idomoo uses 80% as an indicator of video completion as the core message of most videos is presented by this point, and many viewers leave the video to take the next step (register, buy now, etc) before reaching 90%.

Relatively few viewers reach 100%, which means they got to the absolute end of the video (black screen, no content remaining).
Total Completion RateThe percentage of total videos where users viewed 80% or more of the video file.
Average ProgressThe average amount of a video viewed by users, calculated by averaging all progress events for the selected period.

Charts and Graphs

Listed in order from top left to bottom right.

Videos Rendered

Displays the number of unique video files created. The y-axis shows the amount of files created and the x-axis is the date they were created on.

Videos Rendered by Storyboard

Displays the number of unique video files created on the x-axis according to the Storyboard ID for the videos on the y-axis. Storyboards are displayed in descending order by total number of rendered videos.

Landing Page Visits

Displays the total number of landing page visits (Total Visits) and the number of unique URLs visited (unique visits) on the y-axis according to the date of the visit on the x-axis.

Landing Page Visits by Storyboard

Displays the total number of landing page visits (Total Visits) and the number of unique URLs visited (unique visits) on the x-axis according to the Storyboard ID for videos loaded during those visits on the y-axis. Storyboards are displayed in descending order by Total Visits.

Video Views

Displays the total number of video sessions (Total Views) and the number of unique video files (Unique Views) with at least one progress event on the y-axis according to the date the session started (View Date) on the x-axis.

Video Views by Storyboard

Displays the total number of video sessions (Total Views) and the number of unique video files (Unique Views) with at least one progress event on the x-axis according to the Storyboard ID on the y-axis. Storyboards are displayed in descending order by total views.

View Progress

Displays the total number of video sessions (Total Views) and the number of unique video files (Unique Views) on the y-axis grouped by progress value on the x-axis. Peaks in this chart may indicate areas of increased viewer interest, while valleys may indicate areas of decreased interest.

Note that interactive events that skip the viewer forward or backward may create peaks and valleys as a result of a nonlinear progression through those videos.

Sessions by Device, OS, and Browser

Displays the number of video sessions as a pie chart broken down by Device Category, Operating System, and Browser. Device Category is the default view. Users can drill down to Operating System and Web Browser data in two ways.

Clicking on the downward facing arrow in the top right shows the full pie view of Operating System or Web Browser, depending on the user’s selections. Clicking on a segment of the pie chart allows the user to drill down to a subset of the data such as a breakdown of each identifiable Operating System where Device Category is Desktop.
