Reviewing and Approving Videos lets you collect feedback and sign-off on an AI Video directly inside Lucas — no more emailing links or tracking approvals over Slack.
Starting a Review
Location: Three-dots menu on an AI Video file > Start Review
This opens the review setup, where you invite reviewers and assign each one a role.
Inviting Reviewers
Type a reviewer's email address and pick a role:

Reviewers don't need a Lucas account. Each person gets an email with a unique link that opens the review directly — no login required. If the email you invited happens to belong to someone who already has a Lucas account, they can also reach the review from Studio or their Dashboard, the same as any account user.
Note: There's a short delay before the invitation email actually sends. If you change a reviewer's role or remove them right after adding them, the email reflects that — or never sends at all if you removed them in time.
Tip: You can add more reviewers at any point, even after the review has started.
Commenting
Reviewers can leave two kinds of comments:

Any reviewer can reply to a comment, and any reviewer can mark a thread Resolved — it collapses but stays visible, grayed out. Comments work at any time, even after the review is locked.
You can edit or delete your own comments and replies. An edited comment shows an (edited) label, visible to everyone. You can't edit or delete anyone else's.
Approving
Only reviewers assigned the Approver role see the Approval tab.

Once every Approver has approved, the review locks. Everyone who approved, plus whoever started the review, gets an email. Comments stay open even on a locked review — only the approval status is frozen.
Note: A review can have zero Approvers. If that happens, there's simply nothing to approve until someone is added.
Removing a Reviewer
You can remove any reviewer from the list at any point. Once removed:
- Their access is revoked immediately — opening their old link shows an "invitation expired" message
- Their past comments stay, marked (removed)
- If they were an Approver, they're dropped from the Approval tab — if the remaining Approvers have already all approved, the review locks right then
Multiple Reviews on One Video
More than one review can run on the same video at the same time. The only restriction: the same person (by email) can't be a reviewer on two of them at once.
Common Questions
Q: Does a reviewer need a Lucas account? A: No. They get an email with a link that opens the review directly.
Q: Can I edit the video from inside a review? A: No — click Edit in Touch-Up from the review to make changes there. Reviewing and editing are separate.
Q: What happens if I lose or forward my invitation link? A: Anyone with the link can act as you in the review. If that's a concern, ask whoever started the review to remove and re-invite you.
Q: Can I un-approve after approving? A: Yes — click Un-approve. This only resets your own status; other Approvers keep theirs.
