Studio Search lets you find any item in your account — AI videos, storyboards, scenes, pages, workspaces, folders, and other assets — by name, tag, or ID.
Accessing Search
Location: The search box in the top center of Studio's header, available on any page.
Searching by Name
Type a name, partial name, or tag and press Enter. Results show every matching item across your account.
| Match Type | Example |
|---|---|
| Full name | The complete title of an asset |
| Partial name | A fragment of a name or filename |
| Tag | Any tag applied to the item |
Searching by ID
If you have an item's ID instead of its name — from a support ticket, a log, or a link — click the empty search box to reveal a by ID pill.
- Click the by ID pill. The field switches to an
ID:prefix. - Type or paste at least 4 characters, then press Enter.
- Results show any item whose ID contains that value, anywhere in the ID — not only at the start or as a full match.
- Exact matches appear first, then partial matches — unless you apply a sort, which reorders the entire list.
Note: The ID: prefix isn't editable. Backspacing through it, or clicking the ✕, clears the field back to the empty "by ID" state.
Note: Pasting a full URL is used as-is — it isn't parsed for an ID. Copy the ID itself (the same one "Copy ID" gives you), not the surrounding link or text.
Working With Results
However you searched, results share the same table and actions. Each row shows type, workspace, and date. Hover a row to reveal the ⋮ menu:
| Action | What It Does |
|---|---|
| Open | Opens the item directly from the results |
| Open Location | Jumps to the item's actual folder and highlights it |
| Download | Downloads the file (not available for every type) |
- Type filter: The "All types" dropdown, top-right of the results table, narrows results to one or more types (Workspaces, AI Videos, Storyboards, Scenes, Pages, Folders, Videos, Images, Audios, Texts, Fonts).
- Sort: Toggle between Date Modified and Date Created, same as the standard workspace table.
- Going back: The back button returns you to whatever page you were on before you searched.
Note: Search is always scoped to your current account — it never returns items from other accounts.
Edge Cases
| Situation | What Happens |
|---|---|
| No item matches (by name or ID) | "No matching results found" empty state |
| ID search: value under 4 characters | Search doesn't run — type at least 4 characters |
Common Questions
Q: What does search look for? A: Full name, partial name, tag, or ID — any of these finds a match.
Q: Where do I get an item's ID? A: From a support ticket, a log, or a link that references it — the same ID that "Copy ID" gives you.
Q: Does an ID have to match exactly? A: No — partial matches work. Any item whose ID contains what you typed appears.
Q: Can I filter by file type? A: Yes — use the "All types" dropdown above the results table.
Q: Can I search across accounts? A: No — results only include items in your current account.
Q: How do I open an item straight from search results? A: Hover the row, click ⋮, then Open — or Open Location to see it in its folder.
