Overview

The User Usage Report provides a summary of video creation and publishing activity for users in an account.

Understanding the data

User inclusion

A user appears in the report only if they:

  • Created at least one video during the selected date range, or

  • Published at least one video during the selected date range

Users with no activity during the selected period do not appear in the report.

Videos created vs. videos published

These are independent metrics based on different timestamps:

  • Videos Created counts videos where the created_at date falls within the selected date range.

  • Videos Published counts videos where the published_at date falls within the selected date range.

Examples (report date range - December):

  • Video created in November, published in December → December report shows: Created = 0, Published = 1
  • Video created in December, published in January → December report shows: Created = 1, Published = 0
  • Video created AND published in December → December report shows: Created = 1, Published = 1

Video created in December and never published → Shows in Created = 1, Published = 0

Video counting rules

  • Each video is counted once in Created or Published based on timestamps.

  • Failed videos are never counted.

  • Deleted videos are never counted.

  • Videos published multiple times count as 1 video in Videos Published.

  • Re-published videos are counted once, based on the most recent published date.

  • The most recent publish date determines whether the video falls within the selected date range.

  • Duplicated videos receive a new video ID and are counted as new videos.

Important: Understanding Created Minutes vs. Rendering Minutes

Created Minutes and Published Minutes in this report reflect the total duration of videos, not the rendering minutes consumed.

Rendering minutes consumed will typically be higher than the minutes shown in this report because:

  • Created Minutes counts each video's duration once (when the created date falls within the date range)
  • Published Minutes counts each video's duration once (when the published date falls within the date range)
  • Rendering minutes are consumed multiple times throughout the video lifecycle:
    • Initial video creation
    • Each time edits are saved
    • Each time the video is published

Example:
A user creates a 2-minute video, saves edits twice, and publishes once in the time range:

  • Created Minutes in report: 2.0 minutes (video duration counted once when created)
  • Published Minutes in report: 2.0 minutes (video duration counted once when published)
  • Rendering minutes consumed: 8.0 minutes (2 min creation + 2 min save + 2 min save + 2 min publish)

For actual rendering minutes consumption, refer to the Credit Usage dashboard in your account, which shows Video Rendering Minutes consumed over time.
